Program

As in the previous two collaboration meetings, the meeting will follow a 3 day + 1 day format. The first three days will feature plenary sessions in the morning and breakout sessions in the afternoons. The additional fourth day is reserved for survey and working group meetings. The Program Overview below lists sessions for all four days, with detailed schedules for each day beneath.

Remote Access

We are using three different technologies to allow remote access to the meeting for those unable to attend in person. The table below shows the remote participation methods. Scroll down to the session names below and click on the appropriate symbol from the table below to participate in that session.

Symbol Technology Description
STscI webcast Space Telescope Webcast All plenary sessions will be broadcast online with the professional webcasting facilities at the Space Telescope Science Institute. Questions can be asked by remote attendees during each talk's question-and-answer period by emailing the questions to Jordan Raddick at raddick@jhu.edu; Jordan will read your question to the speaker, and you will hear their answer. To view the webcast, click the STScI symbol, then click on the orange banner to start.
Adobe Connect Adobe Connect Parallel sessions featuring science talks will be broadcast using Adobe Connect. You can view the broadcast in your web browser, although you may need to download a plugin to do so. Connect includes a "Raise Hand" option where you can indicate you have a question or comment. You can then ask by chat or microphone. To get to the Connect broadcast for a session, scroll down to the session you wish to join and click the Connect icon.
Google Hangout Google Hangout Parallel sessions featuring interactive discussion will be open for remote participation via private Google Hangouts. There is a limit of 9 people per hangout, and remote participants will need to be individually invited. To request an invitation to any APOGEE sessions, email Jennifer Johnson. To request an invitation to any Education or Data Access sessions, email Jordan Raddick (raddick@jhu.edu).
