Social Events
As in the previous two collaboration meetings, the meeting will follow a 3 day + 1 day format. The first three days will feature plenary sessions in the morning and breakout sessions in the afternoons. The additional fourth day is reserved for survey and working group meetings. Four rooms are available for breakout sessions.
Banquet
The meeting banquet will be held in the evening of Tuesday, June 11th, from 6:00 to 9:00 PM, at the Maryland Science Center. Buses will be provided to and from the science center.
If you want to arrange your own transportation to and/or from the science center, that is fine. Please let the LOC know by emailing us as sdss3meeting@jhu.edu, so that we know not to hold the bus for you.
Baseball (Optional Social Event)
On the final night of the regular conference (Thursday, June 13th), The Baltimore Orioles will host the Boston Red Sox at 7:05 PM at Baltimore's famous Camden Yards. While the game is not an official meeting event, it will be a chance to relax with SDSS-III/-IV colleagues at one of the world's great baseball parks.
We'll be buying tickets as a group, sitting in the upper deck (somewhere between sections 306 and 364 in the Camden Yards Seating Map). Jordan Raddick will be buying tickets in late May.
